Fox and “So You Think You Can Dance” towered over the mostly repeat competition on the first night of TV summer averaging a 3.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, twice that of second place ABC. The only other new English broadcast TV episodes for the night, the season finales of “Ugly Betty” and “Southland” limped across the finish line.
