Cumulus adds Kix Brooks for nighttime show

CumulusCumulus Media Networks will offer stations nationwide a new overnight radio show hosted by Country music superstar Kix Brooks beginning in September. “Kickin’ it With Kix” will air each Monday – Friday from 12am – 5am and feature artists discussing the stories behind their music while giving listeners a chance to interact with the show through social media.


In addition to “Kickin’ it With Kix,” Brooks will continue to host “American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks,” the Country countdown show airing on over 350 radio stations nationwide and internationally, including the American Forces Network. “American Country Countdown” is the longest running Country countdown show in history. Brooks has hosted the countdown for the past 6 years, and has won two Country Music Association awards for National Broadcasting Personality of the Year during that time.

Donna Britt, producer and writer of five years for “American Country Countdown” will co-host “Kickin’ it With Kix.” In addition to co-hosting, she will also be writing and producing the show. Donna is a two-time Marconi Award nominee and has co-hosted morning shows on the legendary WSM-AM in Nashville, TN as well as KMJX in Little Rock, AR amd WEGR in Memphis, TN.
