A Boston Conversation Starter Set To Roar Back To Life

0

On June 30, 2017, a Class B 50kw AM facility in Boston signed off the air, concluding a life that began Oct. 18, 1934. Under Max Richmond, this station in 1957 adopted a Top 40 format, which lasted until March 1975. From 1976, it embraced Talk and Sports in various incarnations, and even changed its call letters to WITS-AM.

With its Waltham, Mass., tower lease expiring, this storied AM went dark. Now, WMEX-AM 1510 is ready for its resurrection. It’s the top topic of discussion in RBR+TVBR‘s TRANSACTIONS TODAY for Thursday, Jan. 18.
