The news was first shared following the Labor Day holiday weekend on social media platform LinkedIn. Now, it has become widely known that Milwaukee Media Group, the brand Saga Communications uses for its radio stations in the Wisconsin market, has a new VP/General Manager.
That’s because longtime radio industry figure Bob Bellini is no longer associated with the five audio brands Saga operates in Milwaukee.
“Congrats to Tyah Sartler,” the Milwaukee Media Group shared. “Tyah is a force that has elevated our company from sales to management. She has a heart that is for the people and not afraid of hard work.”
Sartler has spent nearly 25 years with Saga, starting as a senior account manager in Milwaukee in 2002. After 11 years, she rose to General Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager, holding that latter role through 2015 while continuing as GSM.

“With over 24 years in customer focused marketing and consulting, my role is to help area businesses develop new and repeat consumers, leading to increased sales,” Sartler shared on LinkedIn.
“My passion is to offer sound marketing advice, guidance and counsel which will lead to growth for our advertisers, both on air and online. I love getting local businesses involved in integrated campaigns, including but not limited to; special events and promotions plus interactive, digital and social marketing programs.”
While Bellini says he is “semi-retired,” he has made it very clear on his own LinkedIn profile that he is open to work. “I’m seeking a new role and would appreciate your support,” he posted last week. “If you hear of any opportunities or just want to catch up, please send me a message or comment below. I’d love to reconnect. I’m looking for General Manager, Operations Manager, Associate, Assistant, and Executive Assistant roles.”
Bellini adds that he is open to roles in Milwaukee, where he had served as President/GM of Contemporary Christian Music-themed WJOI-AM “JOY 1340,” Rocker WHQG “102.9 The Hog,” Adult R&B WJMR “Jammin’ 98.3,” Classic Rock WKLH-FM “Hometown Rock 96.5,” and WRXS-FM “Pure Oldies 106.9” since October 2023, rising from VP/GM.
Bellini earned the clusterwide role in June 2020 after serving as Operations Manager. From April 1989 through that promotion in early 2015, he was Brand Manager and format specialist for Classic Rock, largely associated with WKLH.
RBR+TVBR MEMBER BONUS: In his role as Radio & Records Classic Rock editor, Adam R Jacobson interviewed Bob Bellini in 2004 to share his success at the time with WKLH-FM in Milwaukee. The story can be found on the WorldRadioHistory website by clicking here.
