The agency plans to take up wireless alerts during the Nov. 19 meeting.
Specifically, the commission will consider a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to improve the effectiveness of WEA message content and geographic targeting of WEA messages, and facilitate WEA testing and proficiency training.
Another item broadcasters would be interested in concerns video. The commissioners plan to consider actions to provide consumers with better information about the availability of accessible devices and features and create easier access to video programming and closed captioning on devices.
