There will be changes at a station located in a small unrated Georgia market, but they will be virtually unnoticeable to folks living in the area. Even the seller of the station is hanging around.
Further, the licensee name is barely changing and management is essentially unchanged.
The station is WSRM-FM Coosa GA, serving an area anchored by the city of Rome, located west of Atlanta.
The seller is Rome Radio LLC, headed by James Scott Smith.
The buyer is Rome Radio Partners LLC, headed by Howard C. Toole, 38%; D. Randall Quick, Cheryl Scott and James Scott Smith, each 19%; and James Brian Lee, 5%.
The price is $200,000, paid entirely pursuant to terms of a promissory note payable over 35 months.
The buyer has been running this station in a long-standing LMA. It will continue to be part of a cluster that includes WRBF-FM Plainview, WRGA-AM, WQTU-FM and WROM-AM, all Rome GA; and WGKJ-AM Rome, which is operated under an LMA with Woman’s World Broadcasting Inc.
WSRM-FM is a Class on 93.5 MHz with 1.2 kW @ 741’. The station is well-centered on Rome.
