From a presentation on virtualized emerging alerting to showing off its updated software for DASDEC and One-Net emergency messaging systems, Digital Alert Systems has much to share at the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas.
In particular, Version 5.4 software, featuring enhanced security and compliance updates for the two emergency messaging systems, will be a key focus for those visiting DAS at the annual conference and expo.
But, the company will also introduce new DASDEC-III models and demonstrate its forthcoming LEAP EAS-to-DASDEC conversion tool for converting configuration files.
There’s more: At the NAB Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference, DAS VP of Business Development Bill Robertson will appear in the session “Broadcasting Without
Boundaries: Seamlessly Integrating EAS into Virtualized Air-Chains.” The session will take
place in conference rooms W220-W221 on April 6 at 2:10 p.m.
At its booth, conversations about Version 5.4 software for all 64-bit-compatible DASDEC and One-Net systems will likely include the new Missing and Endangered Persons (MEP) event code required by the FCC before the September deadline.
Support for AES67 audio and the Livewire routing protocol, allowing Emergency Alert System (EAS) messages as AoIP with message prioritization controls when
using compatible network devices, will also be discussed.
Additionally, DAS says V5.4 now supports OpenID Connect for the single-sign-on authentication process that many large corporations use. It includes two methods
of authentication: username/password or authorization flow.
Digital Alert Systems will be in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 2025 NAB Show, at Booth W3837.
