The labor union representing writers that engaged in a work stoppage at a time when SAG-AFTRA had gone on strike in November 2023 called on iHeartMedia to “do better” for its members within the iHeart Podcast Union.
“As the union prepares for the next round of bargaining sessions, we’re asking all allies to sign a letter to iHeartMedia execs demanding fair pay and a strong contract first,” WGA East it said at the time.
It appears that the nation’s No. 1 audio content creator and distributor did not heed WGA East’s words or that of its unionized podcast talent.
