TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate WFAA-8 in Dallas is readying a move in 2022 from its streetside studio in the Plaza Towers building at Victory Park.
The facility, which dates to 2007, also houses a group of stations owned by one of the biggest radio broadcasting companies in the U.S.
Speaking to Newscast Studio, a trade publication, WFAA-8 VP/GM Carolyn Mungo said, “WFAA has made the decision to create a new state-of-the-art studio and newsroom at our Young Street building and will sunset our Victory Park Studio in January of 2022. WFAA continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community, clients, and partners. We are excited about these changes and how they will enable us to better serve our audience, but also thank Victory Park for hosting us.”
Once WFAA exits the building, what will be the fate of Cumulus Media‘s Dallas stations?
The facility is home to Country twins KSCS-FM and KPLX-FM, Top 40 KLIF-FM “Hot 93.3,” News/Talk KLIF-AM 570, News WBAP-AM 820 and Sports Talker KTCT-AM 1310 and FM 96.7.
There has been no discussion publicly regarding a possible move of those stations.
