Since June 2016, she’s served as the News Director for The E.W. Scripps Co.-owned ABC affiliate serving Detroit.
As of today, she’s now in charge of a Hubbard Broadcasting-owned ABC affiliate in Rochester, Minn.
Now on board as VP/GM of KAAL-6 is Rhonda LaVelle.
It’s the first leadership role for LaVelle, whose resume includes roles as News Director of KPRC-2 in Houston from March 2014 until moving to Detroit.
It was a return to Detroit for LaVelle, who was the Executive Producer of local newscasts for Graham Media Group’s flagship WDIV-4 in Detroit from August 1998-March 2014.
LaVelle began her career as a Producer at WNEM-5 in Sagniaw-Bay City, Mich.
