WHITE HOUSE, TENN. — Get After It Media (GAIM), the Nashville-headquartered broadcast and digital media company led by CEO and co-President Joel Wertman, has struck a partnership with the national, nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to lead the commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, to support and amplify programming surrounding America’s Semiquincentennial.
GAIM’s participation with America250 includes a multi-platform media initiative across broadcast, streaming, social, and digital channels highlighting stories, traditions, music, culture, and shared experiences connected to America’s 250th anniversary.
Planned efforts include on-air promotional campaigns, thematic programming integrations, and participation across select original productions and franchise specials, including Barbecue Country Celebrates America, which aired on May 21 in honor of Memorial Day, with upcoming specials airing in honor of Independence Day (July 2), and Labor Day (Sept. 3).
As part of the collaboration, GAIM will serve as an America250 Programming Partner across its portfolio of national media brands, including The Heartland Network, The Family Channel, Retro TV, Rev’n Action, and its expanding streaming platforms.
Wertman said, “We wanted this partnership to be more than symbolic. GAIM is committing real media support across our platforms, from a national PSA campaign and daily on-air promotion to integrations woven directly into our original programming. Specials like our summertime series, Barbecue Country Celebrates America, is a natural extension of that.”
America250 EVP Jen Condon added, “America’s 250th anniversary is an opportunity to share the stories, traditions, and experiences that connect communities across the country. Get After It Media’s broad reach and commitment to original storytelling will help engage audiences nationwide and bring the spirit of the Semiquincentennial to viewers across multiple platforms.”
GAIM added that is also working with the NAB on industry engagement initiatives surrounding the Semiquincentennial and will be collaborating with the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation (LABF) to help develop, preserve, and amplify the story of how media has shaped the American experience across generations, embracing the theme, Before it was history, it was broadcast.
