Week 8: Univision showing strong in primetime among 18-34

Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 11/08/10: For two consecutive nights, Thursday & Friday, Univision was the #1 most-watched broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34 (2.0 million & 1.1 million, respectively) and Teens 12-17 (387,000 & 218,000, respectively).  Additionally, on both of these nights Univision took the #3 ranking among Adults 18-49 and the #4 ranking among Total Viewers 2+.
 
•        On Thursday night, the 11th Annual Latin GRAMMY(r) Awards delivered a record performance of 6.2 million Total Viewers 2+ on Univision.  The awards show reached 12.5 million viewers who watched some or all of the three-hour broadcast.
 
•       The 11th Annual Latin GRAMMY(r) Awards  delivered an average audience of 2.0 million Adults 18-34 and more young adults than ABC’s “Private Practice,” NBC’s “The Apprentice10,” “Community,” “30 Rock” and “Outsourced;” CBS’s “$#*! My Dad Says,” “CSI” and “The Mentalist;” and every primetime program on FOX and CW.
 
•        The Top broadcast program on Friday night was Univision’s “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) among Adults 18-49 (2.8 million), Adults 18-34 (1.5 million) and Teens 12-17 (291,000).  Additionally, Univision’s novela “Eva Luna” (#3) rounded out the Top 3 Friday broadcast programs among Adults 18-34.
 
•        Univision finished last week as the #4 ranked broadcast network in overall primetime among young Adults 18-34 (1.1 million); beating CBS and CW. Additionally, Univision was the #1 most-watched broadcast network among Kids 2-11 (523,000) and ranked #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (4.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.1 million).
 
•       In the second full broadcast week of the competitive November 2010 Sweep period, Univision was the only broadcast network that showed any growth versus the comparable week last year among Total Viewers 2+ (21%), Adults 18-49 (+27%), Adults 18-34 (+25%) and Adults 25-54 (26%).
 
•       Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34, on 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49, on 4 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17 and on 2 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.
 
•       For the week, Univision had 4 of the Top 30 primetime broadcast shows among Adults 18-34.
 
•        In its second week, Univision’s novela “Eva Luna” garnered audience increases of +8% among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Women 18-34, +5% among Persons 12-34, +3% among Adults 18-34 and +15% among Women 18-49, compared to its premiere week (November 1-5, 2010).
 
•        With the competition gets more intense in its final weeks, “¡Mira Quien Baila’s” (Look Who’s Dancing!) semi-final show generated the program’s highest telecast performance since its premiere among Total Viewers 2+ (4.3 million) and Adults 18-34 (1.1 million).  Additionally, the dance competition experienced week-to-week audience increases among Total Viewers 2+ (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%).
