Westwood One’s Metro Traffic announced a multi-year agreement with Cox Radio stations WHQT-FM, WEDR-FM, WHDR-FM, and WFLC-FM in Miami. Metro Traffic will now be the exclusive provider of traffic surveillance tools, on-air talent, and traffic content. The agreement also includes the integration of Sigalert, Metro Traffic’s online traffic service, to enhance the user experience of each station’s online traffic offering.

“We’re excited to partner with Metro Traffic and look forward to working with their team,” said Cox VP/GM Brian Elam. “Metro Traffic’s local resources, tools, and technology allows Cox to provide valuable traffic information that millions of South Florida commuters depend on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

Metro Traffic’s affiliate lineup in South Florida also includes Lincoln Financial’s WAXY-AM, Beasley’s WPOW-FM, WKIS-FM and WQAM-AM, CBS Radio’s WEAT-FM, WIRK-FM, WMBX-FM, and WNEW-FM. Metro also provides traffic services in Miami to WSVN-TV (FOX), WFOR-TV (CBS), WLTV-TV (Univision), WTVJ-TV (NBC), and WPLG-TV (ABC).
