Waymark To Bring AI-Powered Local Ads For FOX Stations

NEW YORK — FOX Television Stations can now offer local advertising partners video creative it says “overcomes traditional barriers to video advertising.”

How so? Waymark’s AI-powered video platform, FOX says, gives local businesses the ability to generate high-quality commercials with professional voice-over in no longer than five minutes.

It’s thanks to a freshly signed local advertising agreement between FOX Television Stations and the AI video creation technology company that sees the rollout of Waymark’s Generative AI technology across all of FOX’s owned stations, found in 17 U.S. markets.

The announcement follows what FOX calls “a successful pilot program” conducted earlier in 2023 at its KTTV-11 in Los Angeles, KRIV-26 in Houston, WJBK-2 in Detroit and KMSP-9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul. At these stations, Waymark’s technology was successfully integrated into its local ad sales efforts.

Jason Sirek, FOX Television Stations’ Minneapolis VP/General Sales Manager, commented, “Video advertising for many has been perceived as expensive and out of reach. Now, this innovative product gives our local sellers a tool they can add to their arsenal to generate new business in the OTT/CTV and linear space, while helping local businesses better visualize how they can utilize the power of video to tell their story.”

Waymark CEO Alex Persky-Stern added, “We’re thrilled to roll out our Gen-AI video platform across the FOX Television Stations nationally. Waymark’s instant, fully customized commercials, plus FOX’s distribution, will open the door to premium video advertising for millions of businesses who otherwise wouldn’t have had the budget, time, or know-how.”

Waymark’s FOX agreement follows similar arrangements with Spectrum Reach, Gray Television, Beasley Media Group and Morgan Murphy Media. Waymark’s platform is also included in the creative directories of major streaming platforms Hulu and Roku.
