Good earnings reports from sectors as divergent as banking, tech and railroading were greeted as good news by stock traders. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 76 points, or 0.7%, to 11,096. Broadcasting stocks joined in the rally.
The RBR Radio Index was up 10.532, or 3.9%, to 280.164.
The TVBR Television Index was up 2.599, or 1.3%, to 206.085.
