The Chief of the Policy and Licensing Division within the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau has granted a conditional waiver to a Rhode Island town government allowing it to modify its T-Band public safety private land mobile radio (PLMR) system.
This will let Tiverton, R.I. operate a second base station some 34.2 miles from an Ion Network station serving Providence owned by The E.W. Scripps Co.
