During 2009, W Radio 690 AM – “La voz del pueblo” has supported a number of social causes in an effort to help listeners lives and the environment. During December, coinciding with the holiday festivities, Grupo Latino de Radio’s station in SoCal is looking to bring joy and happiness to its listeners, especially the children.
Its shows will be giving away many tickets for families to enjoy the magic of a Disneyland Resort. Talent and the rest of the W Radio team will also participate in a number of parades and holiday events. They are also working closely with a variety of organizations and companies, such as La casa del Mexicano del Este de LA or Maxima Home Loan, to get and distribute toys for needy children.

• Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6: Festival Navideño de la calle 8, where toys will be given to children
• Sunday December 6, 1:30pm: Downey City Parade
• Saturday, December 12, 10am: Compton City Parade
• Saturday, December 12, 10am: Bell City Parade
• Sunday, December 13, 1pm: South Gate City Parade
• Saturday, December 19, 9:30am: 1000 Toys Giveaway at Roosevelt Park
• Saturday, December 19: Maxima Home Loans will give away 500 toy at their offices
• Sunday, December 20, 8:30am: La casa del Mexicano del Este de Los Ángeles will giveaway more than 1,500 Christmas Baskets to families in the community and more than 5,000 toys to the children in the neighborhood
