It has all of 10 watts of broadcast power, but enjoys a transmitter atop Shaw Butte in north central Phoenix, giving it coverage of the city and neighboring Glendale.

That’s good enough for Vic Michael, who has struck a deal to buy the noncommercial micro FM.

K205CI in Phoenix is being acquired by Michael via his RF Towers LLC enterprise, with Family Stations agreeing to the sale.

The transaction is valued at $2,400, and includes a lease agreement for the broadcast tower.

Serving as the seller’s legal counsel is Kathleen Victory of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth.

At 88.1 MHz, K205CI served Phoenix before Family Stations agreed to acquire K298CK at 107.5 MHz in Phoenix, a 250-watt translator that has near market-wide coverage, from Denver-based Amigo Multimedia. That 2022 deal was valued at $500,000.
