A contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of a pair of Class C1 FM radio stations in Nebraska.

The transaction, brokered by Kalil & Co., means Alan Usher and his company are parting ways with the properties, which air Rock and Country formats, respectively.

KRNP-FM “Rock 100.7” in Sutherland, Neb., and Country KZTL-FM 93.5 in Paxton, Neb., are being spun by Usher’s Legacy Communications to Eagle Communications.

The Buyer is a Kansas-based, employee-owned company headed by Gary Shorman and Kurt David.

KZTL and KRNP reach such Nebraska cities as Ogallala and North Platte.

According to an Asset Purchase Agreement posted Sept. 8 by the FCC, Eagle is paying $800,000 for the stations.

A 10% escrow payment has been made to the seller.
