yap.TV is a social TV app for Apple mobile devices and the two companies will create a branded mobile social TV environment for USA programs and viewers. USA will offer viewers an app to harness and amplify the social buzz around its series via yap.TV’s “Character Chatter.” Users will also be able to access a programming guide, view content, invite friends on Facebook and Twitter to the app as well as chat with other yap.TV users all through one platform on all Apple mobile devices.
yap.TV and USA Network will unveil their new app in November, offering it up for free download to all Apple mobile device users. The app will feature social forums for programming such as Burn Notice, White Collar, Suits, Psych, Covert Affairs and others.
