Our vision is simple: bring people to Jesus every day.

That’s the business goal of a licensee formerly known as LeSEA Broadcasting founded in 1972 by Lester Sumrall. Now, the company under its current incarnation is bringing one of the biggest Spanish-language secular broadcast television networks to two of its stations.

The Univision network is now on the DT1 signals of Family Broadcasting Corporation (FBC)-owned WHMB-40 in Indianapolis and WHME-46 in South Bend, Indiana.

“This affiliation is an excellent addition to our portfolio of family-friendly networks and stations, and we’re very excited about this partnership and expanding our reach to new audiences,” said FBC CEO Drew Sumrall, son of the founder.

Along with this news, FBC has named Susan Buterbaugh as General Manager of WHMB. Her previous experience includes a role as General Sales Manager of WPMT “FOX 43” in Harrisburg, and a decade ago was in Indianapolis as Director of Sales for WXIN-TV & WTTV-TV under Tribune ownership.

“We are grateful to all our loyal viewers who have supported us for more than 50 years,” said Buterbaugh, who has also held account executive positions at WGAL-8 in Harrisburg- Lancaster-York, Pa.. “Univision brings news, entertainment, sports and culture to our community, with new opportunities for our partners. I am honored to lead WHMB TV-40 into this new chapter.”

FBC operates nationally distributed networks Family Entertainment Television (FETV), Family Movie Classics (FMC), and World Harvest Television.
