The NewsON video streaming service devoted to local TV station news content has added a pair of channels associated with Lilly Broadcasting, giving viewers in the Twin Tiers and in Northwestern Pennsylvania another way to learn of what’s making headlines around the globe and down their street.
The stations in Erie, Pa., associated with the “Erie News Now” brand — WICU-TV and WSEE-TV — are joining sibling WENY-36, a station offering ABC, CBS and The CW programming across its multicast channels, are now on NewsON.
This gives two more stations to NewsON, which partners with some 285 broadcast TV stations. The app offers access to live and on-demand local newscasts and local news clips.
NewsOn VP/GM Ron Stitt commented, “We’re always looking to bring new stations to our platform, and we are pleased to expand coverage for our viewers in partnership with Lilly Broadcasting.”
