NEW YORK —  The TVB Executive Summit kicked off its half-day agenda at Hearst Tower in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday with remarks from soon-to-retire President/CEO Steve Lanzano that not only welcomed in-person attendees ahead of a keynote from ANA head Bob Liodice but also revealed who Lanzano’s successor will be.

Named as the Television Advertising Bureau’s new leader is Brad Seitter, rising from Exec. Vice President of Local & National Business Development at the national trade association focused on local broadcast stations across the U.S.

Responsible for overseeing TVB’s national, local and digital business development efforts across all 210 DMAs, Seitter and his team of seasoned consultants travel the country presenting directly to advertisers at the invitation of TVB member stations in group and one-on-one sessions.

The main goal of TVB’s business development team? To educate advertisers on the power of combining local broadcast television with specific digital media. “Using research, media strategy and truth serum, TVB’s business development team has successfully moved millions of dollars in ad spend from other mediums to broadcast TV stations,” the TVB said.

A University of Kansas graduate, Seitter joined TVB in 2010 after serving as a Business Executive at The E.W. Scripps Co.’s NBC affiliate in Kansas City, KSHB-41. From 2006-2008, Seitter was the Director of National Media Sales at iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Media + Entertainment. He began his career as an Associate Sports Producer for WDAF-4 in Dallas-Fort Worth, a FOX Television Stations property.
