The woman who joined Urban One‘s stations in Richmond in February 2019 as Director of Sales has been elevated some six years later to the top spot, reporting to Audio Division co-President Eddie Harrell Jr.
Stacey Trexler is now VP/GM for the station group, which includes dominant ratings leader WKJS “Kiss 99.3/105.7,” Hip-Hop WCDX “Power 92.1/104.1,” Gospel WPZZ “Praise 104.7,” and WXGI “The Box.”
Trexler is a market veteran, and from August 2011 until joining Urban One in Richmond was General Sales Manager for iHeartMedia’s crosstown group of properties, rising from a role in sales she took in September 2000, when the company was known as Clear Channel and WRVQ “Q94” was still one of its assets.
Trexler succeeds Marsha Landess, who was transferred to operate Urban One’s Charlotte station group.
“I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to take on this new role and continue working alongside the talented individuals at Radio One Richmond,” Trexler said in a press release distributed by Urban One in Richmond. “I look forward to collaborating with our teams to drive innovation, strengthen our local presence, and deliver outstanding content and experiences to our listeners and advertisers. I believe that there is power in audio and look forward to finding new ways to connect our advertisers with the community that we serve.”
