CAMARILLO, CALIF. — The media company focused on conservative secular spoken word programming and non-secular Christian-themed offerings has linked a distribution agreement with Roku for its streaming television network. It comes two weeks after a launch on Amazon’s Prime Video free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel platform.
For Salem Media, it’s being heralded as a major step forward for its Salem News Channel offering, “advancing Salem’s strategy of meeting audiences where content discovery is increasingly happening.”
For those wondering how this is new news, as Salem News Channel has long been available through a dedicated Roku app, the new agreement places the network directly within Roku’s Live TV guide. This allows viewers to easily discover the offering and tune to the FAST channel without hunting for it.
“This is a significant expansion of Salem News Channel’s reach,” said SNC VP/GM Cary Pahigian. “Being part of The Roku Channel opens the door for entirely new audiences to discover the unique news and opinion that SNC provides.”
