The Praise Network’s Grand Exit From Grand Island

0

Good news and great Gospel music. That’s been the brand promise of a Class B AM serving Grand Island, Neb., since a February 2008 transaction that brought the facility into The Praise Network family.

Twelve years later, the AM — now with an FM translator giving the station some “revitalization” — are being spun.

KMMJ-AM 750, along with FM translator K282BR, are being sold by The Praise Network Inc. to MyBridge.

It’s a growing operator of religious non-commercial stations, and terms call for a $35,000 purchase of the translator. The AM? It is being gifted to MyBridge.

There is no escrow deposit.

The deal is, in a sense, a rewind. In 2008, Mission Nebraska handed KMMJ-AM to The Praise Network in a deal that saw an unspecified debt assumption. The seller’s head: Stanley Parker.

That’s the same Stanley Parker that controls MyBridge.

Inventory includes an Orban 9200 Optimod AM digital processor, a Nautel XL12 12kw AM transmitter, and a Gentner VRC-200 remote control.
