He’s been with iHeartMedia’s Premiere Networks since 1999, following his departure from the marketing department at Imus in the Morning, then-syndicated by Westwood One.
Now, Premiere is promoting him to the New York-based role of EVP/Affiliate Sales.
He rises from SVP of Affiliates Sales/Talk and Morning Shows, a role built on experience at CBS Radio Networks and United States some 25 years ago.
Tripi will continue to report to Premiere Networks President Julie Talbott, while gaining oversight of affiliate sales and affiliate marketing for all of Premiere’s programs. This includes music and spoken word programming featuring such industry notables as Rush Limbaugh, Ryan Seacrest, Delilah, Sean Hannity, Steve Harvey, Glenn Beck, Bobby Bones, Elvis Duran, Mario Lopez and others. Programming includes The Breakfast Club and The Woody Show.
Additionally, Trippi will manage affiliations for more than 60 prep, production, imaging and research services. In total, Tripi and his team are responsible for more than 7,100 radio affiliations worldwide.
“I’ve worked with Peter for over two decades and I couldn’t ask for a better representative for our unmatched lineup of national radio personalities and their brands,” Talbott said. “His extensive industry experience and tremendous insight make him an effective leader and valued member of our team. I look forward to working together for years to come.”
