The parent organization of a religious broadcasting operation offering “The LifeFM” to parts of the South has moved forward with the purchase of a construction permit for a non-commercial station serving the North Carolina city of Rockingham.

The Power Foundation, led by Rob McClure, is agreeing to purchase the future WRNC-FM in Rockingham from Pathway Christian Academy.

A $75,000 purchase price has been agreed upon, with a $5,000 escrow payment made to the seller. It is being held by its legal counsel, Brooks Pierce.

Power has until May 5, 2025 to build the station, licensed for 88.3 MHz.

The LifeFM network is headquartered in Piedmont, S.C., and is comprised of 28 broadcast homes, including HD multicasts and FM translators.

Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group served as the exclusive
broker for the seller in this transaction.
