It’s earnings season once again, and conference calls from Urban One, Saga Communications, Entravision and iHeartMedia were on the calendar for Thursday, May 5.
For Saga, “spicing up” the earnings review it holds for investors such as Towerview LLC and Wall Street analysts was only part of what CEO Ed Christian and CFO Sam Bush had to share.
What did Christian and Bush have to add beyond the straight numbers, which the company distributed without comment earlier in the day?
A lot, it turns out — including news of a building purchase in Norfolk that will help cut leasing costs that the company has incurred for the past 25 years. Christian says a move-in will come following a remodeling effort, and this will transpire within six months to one year. The building purchase reduces Saga’s leases to one, in Bluffton, S.C., within the Savannah, Ga., and Hilton Head, S.C., markets.
