‘The Buck’ Stops Here For Radiodog Media

A 6kw Class A FM serving Texas’ Hill Country to the northwest of San Antonio is trading hands.

The move means “The Buck” has been hunted, and captured, and Radiodog Media will be saying goodbye to the facility playing “Today’s Best Country.”

It’s the top deal in RBR+TVBR‘s TRANSACTIONS TODAY for Friday, July 21.

KAXA-FM 103.7 is licensed to Mountain Home, Tex., and serves the Kerrville area as “The Buck.”

Radiodog, controlled by Thomas Gebhart, is selling the station to JAM Broadcasting for $112,500.

A 10% escrow deposit has been made to Gebhart by JAM via Gebhart’s escrow agent, Dave Garland Media Brokerage.

The balance will be paid in cash to the seller.

JAM is based in Cedar Creek, Tex., and is led by Justin McClure. He has a 6% interest in Villecom LLC, owner of two AMs, two FMs and a translator in Texas.

In other TRANSACTIONS TODAY:

  • Vic Michael is shifting ownership of a group of FM translators from his Cedar Cove Broadcasting to Mountain Community Translators, for no cash consideration. The stations are K292GW in Boulder, K270CM in Pueblo and K226BE in Fort Morgan, Colo.; K287BX in Mesa, Ariz.; K248CZ and K266CC in Cheyenne, Wyo.; and K210EC in Douglas, Wyo.
