The 14-month saga of Northern Kentucky University‘s Adult AlternativeĀ WNKU, which has aired on a trio of facilities primarily serving the Cincinnati market, may soon be coming to an end.
That is likely to disappoint WNKU’s cult-like following, which has unsuccessfully sought to purchase one of the three FMs to preserve the format and is now lobbying potential buyers to retain its current programming.
However, the buyer of WNKN-FM 105.9 in Middletown, Ohio, promises he’s considering all formats. The key is maximizing ratings and revenue, and that doesn’t bode well for fans of the current WNKU.
