NEW YORK — Chatter about an executive move within TelevisaUnivision‘s sales leadership first surfaced at the Hispanic Marketing Council annual summit on Thursday. By the end of the weekend, RBR+TVBR had confirmed the news: Tim Natividad has exited just shy of 11 months in his role as President of U.S. Advertising Sales and Marketing.
Who is taking the role has raised eyebrows, as the job is going to an individual who left TelevisaUnivision in December 2025 for a position with Allen Media Group.
That would be John Kozack, a TelevisaUnivision ad sales veteran who had opted to join the Byron Allen-helmed multimedia company to serve as its Chief Revenue Officer of Advertising Sales.
Now, Kozack is back, and the timing means he’ll likely play a key role at the TelevisaUnivision Upfront presentation in mid-May. “TelevisaUnivision sits at the center of one of the most influential markets in media, and the role we play in serving Hispanic consumers—along with the growth opportunities ahead—has never been greater,” Kozack said in an internal memo sharing the news with TelevisaUnivision team members. “Having spent more than two decades championing this company, I’m excited to lead this team into this transformative next chapter.”
TelevisaUnivision CEO Daniel Alegre said of Kozack, “His deep understanding of our business, passion for the U.S. Hispanic market, and proven track record of driving growth make him the ideal person to be this team’s next president. I am certain that John’s leadership will further strengthen our position as Spanish-language media’s undisputed leader.”
Until leaving for AMG, Kozack served as Executive VP of Multimedia Sales and had been associated with TelevisaUnivision since its former incarnation as Univision Communications, joining the organization in August 2003. He arrived at Univision following a 3 1/2 year run as an account executive at FOX Sports. From fall 1995 through May 2000, he was VP and Group Supervisor for The Media Edge.
With Kozack’s exit to AMG, Cara Lewis was appointed Executive VP and U.S. Head of Agency for TelevisaUnivision, news that RBR+TVBR exclusively reported in December 2025. Lewis reported to Natividad, who succeeded the high-profile Donna Speciale in June 2025 after previously holding the position of U.S. Head of Enterprise Sales at TikTok.
Prior to that, he held senior roles at Roku, focused on TV advertising in the digital realm. He’s also an Amazon veteran, and there Natividad led global search and performance advertising sales across key verticals. Earlier in his career, he worked at Google, as Natividad “supported top marketers in developing brand and performance strategies across YouTube, Search, and Display.”
The nature of Natividad’s departure is to be debated. Sources tell RBR+TVBR that Natividad was removed from his position; Alegre’s memo states he departed due to “personal reasons.”
