If there’s one individual that is singlehandedly responsible for the Hearing Designation Order presented to Standard General, TEGNA and Cox Media Group regarding the proposed privatization of TEGNA led by Standard General, it is Holly Saurer.
She’s the Chief of the FCC’s Media Bureau, and the legal advisor to FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel. Saurer is the individual that put the TEGNA transaction’s fate in the hands of Administrative Law Judge Jane Hinckley Halprin.
And, Saurer is planning to be at the 2023 NAB Show for a Q&A session. Don’t expect her to deviate from the main topic at hand, however: low-power television.
