It was in 2007 that Dave and Connie Stout sold their Armada Radio, and it was four years later that they returned to radio broadcast ownership with the formation of Tomsun Media LLC through the acquisition of WTKM-AM & FM in Hartford, Wisc., to the immediate northwest of Milwaukee.
At a later date, an FM translator with a signal covering Menomonee Falls, Wisc., was added. Today, that facility holds a Construction Permit for a Milwaukee-based facility due south of Whitefish Bay, and that’s what made it attractive enough for a nonprofit broadcast ministry to strike a deal to purchase it from the Stouts.
