Traders ended a most interesting week in America on a positive note Friday, as the Dow Jones Industrials Average gained 39.78, to 18,847.66. Nasdaq climbed 28.32, to 5,237.11.
Among the top gainers for a second straight day was Saga Communications, which soared 6.9%, to $47.70, and is just pennies shy of its 52-week high. Sinclair Broadcast Group jumped ahead 7.25%, to $29.60, as investors reacted positively to a C-Suite shuffle set for Jan. 1, 2017. Nexstar climbed 6.5%, to $58.65, while investors shrugged off advertiser and ratings concerns at ESPN by sending Disney ahead by 2.9%, to $97.68.
The RBR Radio Index rose 19.308, or 3.45%, to 578.779.
The TVBR Television Index rose 32.618, or 3.67%, to 921.527.
