Wall Street wasn’t expecting the jump in new jobless claims that the government reported on Thursday. Nor did traders like a gloomy economic report from the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 144 points, or 1.4%, to 10,271. Broadcasting stocks took a hit.
The RBR Radio Index was down 1.169, or 0.5%, to 247.877.
The TVBR Television Index was down 5.763, or 3.2%, to 175.656.
