Uncertainty about deficit-cutting talks in Washington left Wall Street traders frustrated on Friday and left the market without a clear direction. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 25 points, or 0.2%, at 11,796. Other major indices, however, were down for the day. Broadcasting stocks were also mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was down 3.672, or 1.1%, to 317.117.
The TVBR Television Index was up 4.878, or 2.1%, to 239.932.
