Slipping Idol still leads Wednesday Nielsen ratings

According to TV by the Numbers, you have to go all the way back to July of 2003 to find lower 18-49 numbers for Fox’s American Idol, but it still had enough moxie to score an easy Wednesday night win. CBS outdueled ABC for 2nd, and Univision outdueled NBC for 4th.
