Broadcast affiliates across three states will air Chicago Sky games for the first time this season as part of an expanded regional network led by Weigel Broadcasting.
In addition to 30 WNBA games on Weigel’s WCIU-TV “The U” in Chicago, up to 10 games will air in seven additional markets on various stations.
These stations include Weigel-owned WMLW-TV in Milwaukee and both WMYS-LD 69 and WCWW-LD 25 in South Bend, Ind.
Non-owned stations that will air Chicago Sky games include Gray Media‘s WMTV-TV in Madison, Wisc.; WPTA-TV “21 ALIVE” and WISE-TV in Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and WSLN-TV in Rockford, Ill.; TEGNA-owned WQAD-TV in the Quad Cities, Iowa-Ill., market; and Block Communications‘ WAND-TV in Champaign-Springfield-Decatur, Ill.
The first regional broadcast on most stations is the Sky home opener on Thursday (5/22) against the 2024 WNBA Champions, the New York Liberty.
