Here’s another transaction that sees a non-commercial religious broadcast entity snap up a commercially licensed property — one that happens to be dark under Special Temporary Authority from the FCC.

Aposotol Hector Guevara has agreed to pay $75,000 to bring KAND-AM 1340 in Corsicana, Tex., and FM translator partner K285HC back to life.

A $5,000 deposit has been made to the seller, Diane Raymond-led New Century Broadcasting. Raymond co-owns New Century alongside Mike Capps.

Corsicana is located some 50 miles to the southeast of Dallas.

KAND is licensed for 1kw from 1 tower.

Pending FCC approval of the deal, KAND and the FM translator will join KEYH-AM & KJOZ-AM in Conroe, Tex., and three new noncommercial FM stations licensed to the Bolivar Peninsula; Stowell, Tex.; and to Tenaha, Tex.
