It’s been nine years since the final episode of Mad Men aired on AMC. Just before Thanksgiving 2022, the eleventh and final season of The Walking Dead concluded. Since then, consumer viewing habits have changed considerably, with over-the-top platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ becoming the homes for premium series once seen on cable television.


Meanwhile, a $78.63 closing price for AMC shares in March 2021 proved to be a pandemic-fueled short-term reversal of a stock in decline since 2019. Now, MoffettNathanson has decided to discontinue coverage of the media company.
