A recently announced multi-year partnership between the Atlanta Braves and Gray Media has resulted in Gray and its Raycom Sports arm agreeing to produce original content surrounding the 15 regular season games its stations in the Major League Baseball team’s territory will simulcast on its over-the-air broadcast properties.
Gray Media’s deal brings added viewers to the Braves games that are seen across the 2025 season on Braves play-by-play rightsholder FanDuel Sports Network. With Opening Day happening Thursday (3/27), Gray is debuting “Live from the Chop” and “Back to the Chop” as unique, lifestyle-focused pre- and post-game offerings.
“Live from the Chop” is billed as a 30-minute insider-styled show, hosted by Paul Byrd, Lauren Jbara, and Charlie Culberson.
“Back to the Chop” is pitched as a show with a “fun, eclectic late-night show feel,” hosted by Atlanta News First’s Baillie Burmaster and former Atlanta Braves pitcher and 12-year MLB veteran Peter Moylan. They’ll be joined by a rotating cast of Braves alumni, among others.
“Our partnership with Gray Media not only expands access and ways to watch games across Braves Country, but it also provides an opportunity to highlight what makes the Braves a championship organization on and off the field,” said Atlanta Braves President/CEO Derek Schiller. “This ancillary programming is going to showcase a different side of the team and allow fans to connect with the Braves in a whole new way.”
As previously reported, Gray Media stations will air the select telecasts in 24 markets across six states of the Braves’ home television territory. The home market outlet is WPCH-17 “Peachtree TV,” the Atlanta home for The CW Network’s programming, and Peachtree Sports Network (PSN).
Braves games will also be shown on Gray-owned Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network, the Tennessee Valley Sports & Entertainment Network, and portions of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network with the Braves territory.
A select number of games will air on some of Gray’s ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and CW affiliates, the company added.
