Senate Commerce set to set subcommittees

It is with great interest that RBR-TVBR goes to the Senate Commerce Committee website each day looking for the identities of the new leaders of the Senate Communications Subcommittee, only to see the top four slots occupied by individuals no longer in the Senate. But soon, we’ll have some answers.

The Senate Commerce Committee has scheduled a business meeting for Wednesday 2/13/13 at 2:30 PM eastern.

The purpose of the meeting is to ratify new subcommittee assignments.

Among the missing on the Republican side are Jim DeMint (R-SC), who moved to the Heritage Foundation, and Olympia Snowe (R-ME) who retired; and on the Democratic side are John Kerry (D-MA), now Secretary of State, and the late Dan Inouye (D-HI).
