The noncommercial radio group owned and operated by American Family Association is getting another member. WTRM-FM Winchester VA is joining the fold, providing coverage to the small market to the west of Washington DC.
The seller is Timber Ridge Ministries headed by Theodore Richard Choy. It too is a noncom, and has been using the station to broadcast a Southern Gospel format.
The price will be $1.1M. AFA is making a $100K cash down payment, and will pay the remainder in cash at closing.
The deal also includes two FM translators, and provides for a tower lease lasting 20 years at 1,100 per month plus utilities.
The station is a Class B on 91.3 MHz with 4 kW @ 1,401’.
