A Class D daytime-only AM radio station serving a small town due south of Danville, Va., over the border with North Carolina, is being sold.

WYNC-AM 1540 in Yanceyville, N.C., is being acquired by True Word Media Inc.

The seller is Semora Broadcasting Inc., and it is earning $135,000 from the station’s sale.

At closing, True Word will pay $90,000 in cash. The remainder will be honored via a Promissory Note at 3% interest over a 36-month installment plan.

Semora is led by President Harry Myers, while the buyer is led by President Anthony Clark.
