Media Bureau Suggests Huge Fine for Nexstar

HAIKU, MAUI, HAWAII — The nation’s biggest owner of broadcast television stations could be on the hook for a fine in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for apparently violating FCC rules when negotiating with Hawaiian Telecom.

It’s thanks to a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture adopted on Thursday and signed off by Media Bureau Chief Holly Saurer.
