Scripps scraps Rocky Mountain News

The E.W. Scripps Company will cease publishing longtime Denver institution The Rocky Mountain News after today’s edition, bringing an end to operational losses that were not stemmed by a joint operating agreement with MediaNews Group’s Denver Post. The company will continue its attempt to peddle the newspaper’s physical and intellectual assets.
