FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel on Tuesday afternoon released a proposal of a draft Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that would begin the process of reestablishing the FCC’s oversight over broadband and restoring “uniform nationwide ‘net neutrality’ rules.”
The reclassification of broadband under Title II, which opponents have been bracing for over a nearly three-year period in which Democrats lacked a third vote necessary to make the rulemaking come alive, would bring back a Wheeler Commission decision that was erased under the FCC’s most recent leadership of Ajit Pai.
