Guaranty Media, which serves the Baton Rouge market, through radio stations complemented by WAFB-9, is bringing a broadcast engineering veteran out of retirement to serve as its Chief Engineer.
Paul Burt, a highly respected broadcast engineer, has five decades of engineering leadership experience, working for stations across Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. His work spans studio construction, transmitter modernization, emergency alerting systems, and long-term technical planning.
Burt’s resume includes roles as a Chief Engineer for Cumulus Media’s properties in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La., and Atlanta; Clear Channel in New Orleans; and the former Border Media Partners in San Antonio.
“I’ve spent my entire career building, repairing, and modernizing broadcast systems,” Burt said. “Returning to Guaranty feels like the right challenge at the right time. This team cares deeply about the craft of broadcasting, and I’m proud to help strengthen the technical foundation that supports everything we do on the air.”
