A reminder not to wait until the last minute to get what you or your department heads need from the FCC.
The agency plans to perform several IT upgrades to its electronic filing systems before and during the Labor Day weekend. Information Technology upgrades and improvements begin 6 p.m. Eastern on Sept. 2, through Labor Day weekend. This work should be completed by 8 a.m. Eastern on Sept. 8.
E-filings that were due to the commission by COB Sept 2 – 8 are now all due on Sept. 9.
The list of affected systems includes: the Universal Licensing System, the Electronic Comment Filing System, the Electronic Document Management System, the Equipment Authorization System, the Electronic Tariff Filing System, the Experimental Licensing System, the Consolidated Database System, the Licensing and Management System, the International Bureau Filing System, the Section 43.62 Online Filing System, the Tower Construction Notification System, the Antenna Structure Registration System, the Electronic Section-106 System, Fee Filer, the Commission Registration System and the 911 Reliability Certification System.
RBR+TVBR observation: Though the commission says its web site will remain available, it will have reduced content and limited search capabilities. I wouldn’t count on being able to get what you need though. If it were me, I’d ask department heads to get what they need off the site now.
